After over 20 years of performing leading roles in major Opera Companies both here and abroad, I take great pleasure and satisfaction in “passing the torch”.
My main focus is technique. Not only does a good technique produce beautiful sounds, but it gives students confidence in any situation.
My teaching goes far beyond the studio. As a performer, I know the only way to learn about performing is by doing it. When my students are ready, I provide opportunities to perform in many venues ranging from small orchestras, recitals, competitions, music festivals as well as producing an Opera Workshop each summer either in Ridgewood, NJ, or in Tolentino, Italy.
I also specialize in preparation for college auditions, including college selection, choosing the right audition pieces, interpretation and presentation. My students have gone on to many prestigious music schools including The Juilliard School, Indiana University, San Francisco Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, Carnegie Mellon, Cincinnati CCM, NYU, Boston Conservatory, New England Conservatory, The Mannes School of Music, University of Michigan, University of North Carolina, University of Miami, Ithaca College, Berkeley School of Music, Elon College, Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, Wagner College, Westminster Choir College and Syracuse University.
